Eximium Template installation

To install Eximium template and assign it as default website template , follow instructions below.

1. Go to Eximium download area and download Eximium Template Package. Save it to your computer.

2. Go to http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME.com/administrator and login

   

3. Go to Extensions-> Extensions Manager

   
   Eximium_Template_Package.zip

4. Click on "Choose file" button and select Eximium_Template_Package.zip file that you previously downloaded and saved.
   Next Click on "Upload & Install" button.

5. You will see "Installing package was successful." message.

6. Go to -> Extensions - Template Manager

   

7. Click on checkbox next to "Eximium - Default".

8. Look to your left-top and click on button "Make Default" to assign Eximium template as default website template.

   

All set! You have succsesfully installed and assigned your Eximium template.

Create database and user in PHP MyAdmin

In this process we will explain how to create databse and user in phpMyadmin. If you follow step by step instructions you will be up and running in 2-5 minutes.

1. Go to your phpMyadmin

   

2. Top - right click on "Privileges".

   

3. Click on "Add a new User"

   

4. If you are on phpMyadmin version 3.4 and up , you will see popup window. If not "Add a new User" page will open in own page. The settings are same.

   

5. Fill in the required info:

   • 5a. Username: enter_desired_username
   • 5b. Host: select Local
   • 5c. Password: enter_desired_password or click on "Generate password" button.
   • 5d. If you generate password please make a note of it.
   • 5e. Re-type: enter_desired_password again.
   

6. Fill in the required info:

   • 6a. Database for user: check "None" if not preselected.
   • 6b. Global privileges: click on "Check All".
   

7. Make sure all checkboxes are checked and click on "GO" button. If you are on wide screen, button is on the bottom-right at the end of the screen.

   

8. You will see message "You have added a new user."

   

9. Click on "Databases".

   

10. Fill in "Create new database" field and click on "Create" button. Try to give your database unique name for example "eximium" so it can be associated with your Joomla installation.

All set! You have succsesfully created user and database in PHP MyAdmin.

Create database and user in cPanel®

In this process we will explain how to create database and user in cPanel If you follow step by step instructions you will be up and running in 2-5 minutes.

1. Go to your cPanel® and login.

   

2. Find "MySql® Databases" icon and click on it.

   

3. Find "Create New Database" input field , fill in your desired database name and click on Create Database button.

   

4. You wil be taken to Added Database page. The database is created. Click on Go Back button.

   

5. Find Add new user fields group and fill in the required info:

   • 5a. Username: enter_desired_username
   • 5b. Password: enter_desired_password or click on "Password Generator" button.
   • 5c. Password ( Again ): enter_desired_password again.
   • 5d. Click on Create User button.
   

6. You wil be taken to Added user page. User is created. Click on Go Back button.

   

7. Find Add User To Database dropdown menus group. Select user and database you just created. Click on Add button.

   

8. You wil be taken to Add User to Database page. Click on All Privileges check box, next click on Make Changes button.

   

All set! You have succsesfully created user and database in CPanel.

Eximium Demo installation

In this process we will explain how to install Eximium demo. If you follow step by step instructions you will be up and running in 2-5 minutes.

1. Go to Eximium download area and download Eximium demo. Save it on your computer.

   Eximium Demo Joomla 3.x

2. Since user and database creation is over we can install our Eximium demo now. Please FTP the downloaded Eximium demo file to your server and exctract it.
   If you do not have zip extraction tool on your server please unzip the Eximium demo zip file to its own folder on your computer and move all contents (folder files tree will start with folder name "administrator") of that folder to your web server root directiory.
   If this is your first time experience with web servers , your ROOT directory is a folder where all your main domain files reside. Example of root server for most hosting providers is
   /home/PART_OF_YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME/public_html/ folder.
   Any folders residing in public_html folder are called SUB FOLDERS
   

3. After successful FTP transfer please go to www.YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME.com.
   If you have transfered the demo files to a sub folder go to
   www.YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME.com/SUB_FOLDER_NAME.
   You will see Joomla! Installer

4. Fill in the site and admin info and click on "Next" button.

   

5. This is the step where you will need to enter your database info. In user and database creation instructions steps 1 - 10 we have created the user and database for Eximium demo installation.
   Please get this information and fill in required fields:

   • Database Type: Select MySQL
   • Host Name: type "localhost"
   • Username: type in the username you created in step 5a of user and database creation instructions.
   • Password: type in the database user password you created in step 5c of user and database creation instructions.
   • Database Name: type in the database name you created in step 10 of user and database creation instructions.
   • Table Prefix: leave as is. This is randomly generated.
   • Old Database Process: leave as is unless you are installing Joomla on a database that already has tables.

   Click on "Next" button.

   

6. In Finalisation section select checkbox next to Eximium Template Demo than scroll down.

7. Please make sure that all Joomla! pre-installation check points are green. If they are red adjust your server settings untill they are all green. Click on "Install" button.

   

8. Wait for the installation process to be finished.

   

9. Congratulations! You just finished installing Eximium Demo. Please click on "Remove Installation folder" button and click on "Site" to visit your website.
