New to joomla, is there a guide

That I can understand but with other templates I have, I have only needed to upload the files into the template dir. I didnt have to do anything with db. I am sooooooooooooooo confused on getting this up and running.

ok I will try this again, default Joomla already has some content and yes you are right changing the template will still keep that content, but to have a site look like our demo you need OUR content and that is why you need to alter DB

The best place to get information about Joomla, is the Joomla website itself. There you will find manuals, videos, books, tutorials etc. Try checking out the videos in the link below, they might be a good place to start.
