Hi,

Can you inform me what the release cycle is for the Joomla Club. One or two templates a month, and do you have fixed dates for releases. Might be me, but i can't find this information on the site, can only guestimate by the previous releases

TIA

Hi - I seem to recall that there was something on the old site about releasing 1-2 new templates and/or extensions per month when I joined in November 2008, and that seems to be accurate. There is no set release schedule, because doing things that way inevitably leads to 'but you said it would be released on such and such', and it's now a day later...

There are always templates and extensions in the development pipeline, and they get released as they are completed. If a release schedule were adopted, it might actually delay the release of some templates or extensions until the next published release date rolled around. Trying to rush things out before they are ready leads to more customer frustration. Personally, I like to see things released once completed and working well.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for your answer, although with very valid points a bit vague tbh, but if last years quantity and quality is what to expect in 2010 then i'm more than satisfied

Hi - My answer wasn't intended to be vague; however, I understand your point. Allow me to be succinct:

Q1 Can you inform me what the release cycle is for the Joomla Club?
A1 There is no published schedule/cycle for template or extension releases.

Q2 Do you have fixed dates for releases?
A2 No.

That said, I don't think you will be disappointed in 2010, or beyond. Cheers!

Thanks again Jay, that was pretty clear:P
I'll just hit refresh a little more often and be surprised at what it brings.
(closed?)

Cheers!
