Hi,
I signed up for silver membership and am now using the youbistro template to create my website. I see there is a "YJ Contact us - Enhanced Joomla Contact Form" YJ Contact us - Enhanced Joomla Contact Form that I would like to use, but the purchase button there is confusing me. Will I be charged to download this? Am I free to download and use anything I find now on the youjoomla website?
Thanks,
Kelly

Hello Kelly

From what I understand, you downloaded the template of youbistro.
If you are creating a new website, I advice you to download and use the demo of youbistro rather than the template only.

The demo contains the core joomla files aswell, but also all the extensions you can see in the YJ showcase.

If you are however changing the look and layout of your website, and need the template only, you need to purchase this extension. All others you are able to download as a member.

Hi orion_,
oh I didn't know that. Yes, this is a new website that I am setting up, I didn't know it would be better to download a demo over a template. Is it ok to upload the demo as well now that the template is there, or should I just wipe everything first and then upload the demo?
Thanks,
Kelly

Hi

You can not upload the demo over existing files.
As I mentioned, the demo includes the core joomla files as well and you can only use the demo like this on a new installation..

It is installed just like you were installing joomla.

To compare, you can create a subfolder on your server and either install the demo there or move the existing files there, or just erase everything from the root from the old installation and install the demo in the root of your domain.

I recomend for you to create new database for this (or you could choose in the installation setup to drop existing tables) so you don't take any chances on getting all the demo content correctly setup.
