[SOLVED] Issue with Community Builder in IE only

I have just taken over the completion of a website using your Fashion template. This problem I have relates to the use of a function in Community Builder, but only when using IE7 [in FF it works perfectly fine] and your template. If I use the standard default template it works in all browsers, so I believe that this unique to your template.

The problem occurs when a user clicks the "Request Connection" link. In FF, a small pop-up window opens. In IE7 I get an error and no window appears.

I am using Joomla 1.5 and I have Community Builder 1.2 installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi - A couple of questions: Can you provide a link to the site in question? Also, where did the person developing the site you are working on obtain the template, and how do you now fit into this picture? I ask because you show to be unlicensed, and the template is only available to, and supported for, properly licensed members. I'm not accusing you of any wrongdoing, I simply wish to clarify. Thanks!

Hi,

I am developing the site offline, so at present there is no link to the site. This doesn't mean that the error I am getting is to do with my server setup by the way. I just wanted to clarify that. Like I said, the particular funcrtion works okay in FF and in other templates.

As to where the person I am working for obtained the template, I can only assume through you guys. Unless you have resellers. Unfortunately she is away for nearly two weeks for the new year holidays so I cannot find this information out at the moment. As for me, I am just the guy aiming to fix her site before she gets back.

Hope that answers your questions, and allows a response to the problem.

Hi - Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, we don't make assumptions about where YouJoomla products are obtained. Even if the template you have was obtained legitimately, there is no indication that you are presently entitled to support as you do not show to have a valid membership or other active support agreement. That said, if you send the template files index.php, head.php and settings.php to me via email, I can check a few things. I will PM you my email address shortly.

I fully understand. Unfortunately I do not know how or where the template was obtained so I appreciate your time and effort so far. I have emailed you the files as requested.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation as well. I did want to let you know that I am online and actively monitoring the inbox for the email address I provided, and will look into the matter further once the requested files are received. Thanks!

PM to casajags: Thanks for the info. There is nothing with that name in the database. When your client returns, see if they had a username for youjoomla.com, or an order number.

PM from casajags: The problem is, that by the time she returns, she is expecting me to have the site completed. I need to have this issue resolved by then. If you cannot help I will have to seek advise from somewhere else.

@ casajags: These forums are intended for our customers with memberships or support agreements in good standing. You can seek help anywhere you'd like; just don't seek support in these forums for paid products when you are not entitled to such support.
