hi,

2 questions about this layout format:

1/ is there any way to limit the number of article title characters so that the title doesn't fall over to the next line?

2/ can you determine when the 'read more' button will appear by somehow denoting a specific number of characters for each article? like, for example, after every 150 characters...then read more etc.

thank you!

But what layout format, joomla, modules?

1. In template manager you have FPNI control, look under advanced and check the tooltips. Otherwise styling, smaller font etc or messing with your database.
2. In modules yes, in standard joomla no.

But the funny thing with joomla is that almost every question has been asked and most have found a solution in the Home - Joomla! Extensions Directory, maybe there is some extension there.

hi maggoo.

yes i mean the joomla category blog layout format. i can change the font size but that looks strange to have it so small since many of my titles are lengthy. not sure what you mean by fpni controls. i went to template manager. i just see default template parameters etc.

actually i've already looked around quite a bit for a solution before asking. there is an extension called category block but it is expensive to buy the no link back version and it cuts pictures in half without any way to set different dimension. regarding the read more issue, there is an extension called auto read more. yet it doesn't seem to work with the extension multicategories and i need that in order for my site to function correctly.

the read more issue i can probably figure out a workaround but i'd really like to be able to manipulate the titles in the joomla category blog layout if possible so they don't run over the first line.
