Third time lucky

can anyone offer any advice about the YL live search function. I have installed the module on my site and i can not get it to work correctly, i.e. it doesnt show 'drop down' search (in green on your demo site).

i have set it to enabled on the admin page but still no luck, the egg timer just spins without the drop down function working.

The overall search function works (but still a few niggles with that)

I had had it working for a short time, but it stopped after further configuration.

Hi - Repeatedly posting about the same issue multiple times will not solve your issue any faster. Instead, why not answer my question from your other thread:

Did you install the demo or just the template? There are several differences in the CSS when comparing the demo and your site, and it appears that changes made in layout.css and/or blue.php are causing this issue. Perhaps something published in position advert1?

i installed the demo, i dont think i have made any changes to the layout.css or blue css. this is the only published item in advert1.

any further suggestions?

p.s if i could find my previous thread i would not be asking for a third time.

Regardless, I used the demo for my testing, and it should be the same CSS that you have on your site. There were several differences that I noted. Except for changes made to your site, I don't know what else would account for these differences.

i have reinstalled the layout.css and blue.css as per demo site, made sure nothing else is in advert1.

will wait for it to refresh but currently its not working

Hi - You can take a look at one of my sandbox sites, which is located at 64.156.24.183. The installed demo works fine there.

the yj live search is now looking a little out of sorts, its not in the right place!! i reinstalled it as it wasnt working correctly but now its working its just not in the right place.

it was fine before i reinstalled it(apart from it wasnt working)

@ emranmannan I used the validation tools that you can link to from the bottom of your template, with the following results:

CSS Errors: 3, Warnings 440

XHTML Errors: 14

It might cause you a lot less frustration if you were to reinstall the demo pack after wiping the site. As you modify the site, I would suggest using another browser to verify any changes you make did not cause issues on the site.

Hi, sorry to bother you guys all, but i'm having this exact same trouble with my site. Suddenly the YJ Live Search module stopped dropping down the live search menu. I can write the keywords and press enter to see results, but no live dropdown menu at all :S
My template is CSS valid, and I already tried restoring javascripts and other stuff.
I'm on Joomla 1.5.23... I believe (not sure) the problem might have started when I upgraded from 1.5.(something else).

YJ Live search is a commercial club extension, not a free one, so please obtain a membership to use this module and get support.
