Accordion or Drop-down How To?

I have a menu on my page Youversity - Joomla education template for schools and universities - Busy Teacher Resources, it's on the right. I am having difficulty having it show the subcategories, preferably in an accordion or drop-down fashion. Any clues on solving this?

Also, I'd like to switch it to the left. I assume I'll need to make a new module class with the ribbon-like image having the v-like ribbon ending on the right as opposed to the left. I did play with the existing css and when you change the float to the left, not right, it has a ton of space on the right of the menu items. Ideas? I'll look into it deeper but figured I'd include it in this post.

Lastly, is there a module class already for this menu to be on the left, not the right?

You have to show the subcategory level inside the menu administration.

I created something like this :

To do it like this go to your layout.css and add this at the bottom:

.yjsquare._yjvmenu div.k2CategoriesListBlock{
.yjsquare._yjvmenu a{
margin: 2px 0 0 0;
padding-right: 0;
text-align: left;
background: url(../images/sidemenu.png) no-repeat left top;
.yjsquare._yjvmenu a:hover,
.yjsquare._yjvmenu li.active a {
background:url(../images/sidemenu.png) no-repeat left bottom;

If that is not working try to use important.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up just using the an accordion without the images. I still may try what you instructed above.

Could you please go to www.busyteachersresources.com and login using testing/testing?

The Kindergarden accordion is always expanded, unless you are on the Kindergarden pages. Is that normal behavior?
