redSHOP - Joomla Webshop Evolved - Joomla Webshop Component

Redshop ecommerce is dubbed the virtuemart killer. If anyone has used it they know this is obvious right from the start that RS tramples all over VM.

I'd like youjoomla to create a template specifically for redshop, or since it's GPL, to incorporate its functionality into a youjoomla ecommerce platform. Preferrably the prior since it's easiest.

Redshop is MVC, so it's joomla centric and doesn't deviate from the joomla core programming.

sorry I never saw your response.

Redshop has a free version. It's called redshop light. It's essentially the core software component minus a lot of plugins.

Virtuemart sucks compared to redshop. You would find creating a template for Redshop would be much easier than Virtuemart. I envision Redshop really taking off when Joomla 1.6 finally comes out. Send me an email [rshafii (at)hotmail(dot)com] if you would like to see how they setup 2 of their templates made by them for their component.

Maybe template like woot be great for you and us. I thing something like that would bring you more users because there's no joomla template like this. There are different scripts like this but they don't look good enough and they support only payments with pay pal which isn't good enough, but with virtuemart...

K2 doesn't come close to redshop. no offense, I'm not trying to state mine is better than your's, but in this case the software ease of use and MVC joomla integration with redshop is so much better than K2.

Hehe, well you do, but if k2 is one thing then it is mvc compliant, so same goes for k2mart. But that doesn't matter, it was just another suggestion, so keep them coming.
