OK ladies and gens , this will be our playground thread until the stable version is out. Post here any issues you find with the RC version.

Please do not use this plugin on your live websites! We are in RC testing phase only!

How to start:

  1. Make sure your template is using latest YJSG version which is 1.0.16
  2. Install YJSG 2.0.0 RC plugin
  3. Go in template manager and see if you have the Warning message advising you to update.
  4. Follow the link to YJSG plugin admin and update.

What are we testing for ?
  1. First check that your template still looks same as it was before upgrade, if there are some drastic changes please advise.
  2. Test plugin and new template on any j version
  3. Test all available template options
  4. Test template and admin in different browsers
  5. See if plugin is playing nicely with your 3rd party extensions
  6. Test all available options like , sliders , tabs , shortcodes , icons etc
  7. Test different server environment
  8. Test different php versions

Happy testing !

Hi,

I've tested this on different environments with quite different setups, different php versions, apache or nginx etc.
I love the speed and i love the fact that i don't have to add extra libraries to make this work, or extra plugins for what is commonly used on almost every site, accordion, image effects, tabs, html5 videos etc.

That version reminds me more of the functionalities that people move to WordPress, and all that that make people who maintain a Joomla website to struggle every time they need to update a simple article!

Seems like it's going to be that extra touch that will keep people on Joomla, many of those should be Joomla core maybe!

Regards

Manos

Hi Neo,

I have installed a full demo of Cubicus on J2.5 and installed the YJSG V2 plugin.

I've found some errors on the frontend when browsing.
I'm not sure if this is the feedback you're looking for...

The frontend works fine without the new framework installed but quite a few things dont work when it is installed.

I'll leave it installed so you can browse the site if you're interested.

Hi!
I installed Eximium and upgraded to YJSG Plugin v2.0.0
Why Shortkodes stopped working? It is not even in the article editor ... Maybe somewhere you want to include this option? Thank you!

As advised above , RC testing phase ,
latest JQ update has removed the link to shorcodes , we fixed it on our end but the file is not released.
we are getting ready slowly for stable release, upgrading all demos

in meantime you can fix the shortcodes visibility issue by replacing all
