[SOLVED] YouSports used for Workout DVDS
 

I made this website based on the YouSports template. The goal is to rank high for "fitness DVDs" and "workout DVDs".
Any suggestions to speed that up is appreciated.

Without getting into specifics, your site will tend to move up more quickly if you can get high traffic sites to link to yours. When those sites are crawled, yours is seen by the spider and the link/association is used to increase your ranking. This doesn't happen immediately; just be patient and give it some time. I would not recommend employing anyone guaranteeing you they will improve your position if you pay them lots of money. Those types of providers *typically* use methods that can get you barred from search engines.

and better keywords , slim down , nutrition, diet, loose weight, how to loose weight,best diet, fast diet, loose weight fast ect..

Great suggestion. Another thing that will help quickly is for your site to link TO higher-ranked sites. To clarify my earlier post, you will not generally be penalized by the search engines for which sites link TO you, but you are generally penalized by the search engines if you choose poor quality sites that you link to FROM your site. That's because you can control, the latter.

I appreciate both of you for your input. The main site Gilad's Bodies in Motion. Official Website. Fitness and Workout DVDs for all levels appears on 2nd page for workout dvds. I hope one day to bypass this with the yoomla site.

Happy to help! You may want to tweak your words over time, possibly adding to or modifying them based on similar sites with higher ranking.

SEO is NOT a easy thing to do.
It takes time, effort and know how.

But, first thing first.
why in the world would you want to optimize your site
for the keyword "workout dvds" any way?

R/E ratio (Reward/Effort ratio) is too high.

"workout dvds" have local monthly search volume of 6,600
and 9,900 global monthly search volumn.

For that exact keywords, "workout dvds", google show
329,000 results pages.

Now if you go for the keyword "workout dvd"...
Your R/E ratio would be just about 2/3 of "workout dvds".
Meaning "workout dvd" is 33% better keywords than "workout dvds".

If you go with "pilates dvds", it's way more than 15 times better
than "workout dvds".

You can't just pick random keywords/search terms.
You need to be specific about it.
You need to choose keywords that has least competition with most searches.
