PSD Source Files
In the INSTOCK template, I changed the blue.psd to a different shade of blue that I needed. I now want to put that on the website. How do you export or save the blue template so it can be used online?

Thank you!

Re:PSD Source Files
Just save it with the same file extension (.jpeg, .GIF, etc)as the one you want to replace and upload the new one to the same location.

Re:PSD Source Files
Im sorry, I dont understand. The blue.psd has the entire screen in the file. If I save as, I am saving the blue.psd as a blue.gif or blue.jpg. What am I missing? Is there a way to \export\ all the slices or whatever we want to call them out of the blue.psd that would make all of the graphics ready for use?

Thanks very much for your help.

Re:PSD Source Files
you need to replace each file in the images folder that is used for blue color. will have to slice images

Re:PSD Source Files
So, I think I am understanding you to say I cannot use the blue.psd file. I have to go to the images folder and change each image separately. Is that correct? I had hoped that the .psd file would allow me to use that resource.

Re:PSD Source Files
you misunderstand , you should use the psd to edit your color , but you need to slice the psd yourself to replace the images that need to be changed .

Re:PSD Source Files
Is there a tutorial on that? Or can you tell me how to slice the psd?

Re:PSD Source Files
do this

flaten the psd ,

open each file that needs to be edited in PSD

move the file to the layout, this will create new layer , example

you need to cut

when you move it to psd it will create new layer called

with arrows or mouse move the headbr-red.gif layer to the right position to mach the layout

in layers pallete

click on the tumbnail headbr-red.gif

and hold ctrl

this will create selection of that layer

while this layer is selected

in layer palete click on the flaten image or layer 1

ctrl + c
ctrl + n
ctll + v

there is your new slice

save it as

Re:PSD Source Files
Is there a tutorial on how to do this? Or can you tell me the steps to extract the slices from the file?

Thank you.

Re:PSD Source Files
I have enclosed the blue.psd file. As you said, I flattened that, which is the attachment blue-flattened.psd. If I am following what I read from you, I am lost what to do once I get to the blue-flattened.psd file.
