IE Issue 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hey there,

The frontpage slider works great in Firefox, but cuts off the titles in IE.

Please see attached files.

Hopefully somebody can suggest a way to fix this, it really messes up my story titles for IE users -- and I am so happy to finally find a slider that actually looks good.

The image above is the working one in Firefox.

Here is how that same slider looks in IE.

Notice how it cuts off the first words of the title.

It does this for stores

OK I just tested this css with IE and it should work fine

replace the modules/mod_myfp_slider/mod_myfp_slider_style.css with this one

Code:

/* -------- news style ---------- */ #myfps_newswrap .myfps_article_seperator { background: none; } .myfps_newsitem_right, .myfps_newsitem_center .myfps_newsitem_left{ float: left; padding: 0; text-align: center; } .myfps_newsitem_inner{ text-align: left; float: left; } .myfps_newscontent { padding: 0; } .myfps_newscontent img { margin: 2px 5px 5px 0; padding: 1px; border: 1px solid #CCCCCC; background: #FFFFFF; } .myfps_newslinks { margin: 15px 0 0; padding: 0; } a.myfps_newscat, a.myfps_newscat:hover, a.myfps_newscat:active, a.myfps_newscat:focus { display: block; margin: 0 0 5px; /*position: relative;*/ font: bold 125%/normal Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; } .myfps_newscatwrap .hover .myfps_newscat, .myfps_newsitem_left:hover .myfps_newscat, .myfps_newsitem_center:hover .myfps_newscat, .myfps_newsitem_right:hover .myfps_newscat { } a.myfps_newscat span { font-weight: bold; padding: 2px 5px 2px; background: #efefef; color: #999; text-transform: capitalize; text-decoration: none; } a.myfps_newscat:hover span{ background: #efefef; } .myfps_newscatwrap .myfps_newscat span, .myfps_newsitem_left:hover .myfps_newscat span, .myfps_newsitem_center:hover .myfps_newscat span, .myfps_newsitem_right:hover .myfps_newscat span { background: #dcdcdc; } a.myfps_newstitle { display: block; font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 5px; border: none; font: bold 125%/normal Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; color: #006DA3; } a.myfps_newstitle:hover, a.myfps_newstitle:active, a.myfps_newstitle:focus { border-bottom: none; color: #CC0000; } .myfps_row{ margin-bottom: 20px; } .myfps_slide{ overflow: hidden; } .myfps_slide div { overflow: hidden; } .myfps_slide div div { float: left; } .myfps_slide_menu{ }

I am so thankful that you actually provide support!!!

Unfortunately, those changes didn't work for me.

As you can see on my web site.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Jamie
