Joomla Software Template

My question is really a 2 parter. I would like to have a option where someone can view a video via mediabox from the main menu. When I create a link to the main menu, and you click on it, it goes to youtube(or whooever the video is with) and mediabox will not work. So if there is a way of doing this it will be great as mediabox is a awesome component.

I would also like to be able to send someone a url via email and when they clicked on it, it would go to the website and play a video via mediabox.


Any help with this is appriciated,

I never tried to have it working from the menu , and I do not believe it can , you would have to add html in the menu as a link , but I dont think it will work

Not quite what you're looking for, but maybe a workaround.

-Create a Section/Category
-Create an article for each video link you want to use with MMbox
-Install the "Content Ítem Module" - http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/ link_id,498/Itemid,35/
-Publish the module, selecting the category where you added the videos, to wherever you want on you template
