I had posted a message here earlier, but the system ate it. "Wrong code," it said. Perhaps it's my FireFox 3.0.3.

Rather than go into the detail I did before, I will say that the documentation contained in myblog_full package is skimpy, to be sure. I have Joomla 1.5.7 already, with content. The ReadMe file does not have instructions on everything contained in the package. It seems to me installing the demo package would be counter-productive in my instance.

I have, however, installed the myblog template 1.5.

Is there anything else I should know?

wrong code happens when session expires during the time you type,
what details do you need? , there is a demo installation and if you look under "extras" you will find all additional info , everything else is standard joomla, you might want to look under tutorials section

Sorry, I was just trying to detail my problem in particular during the previous post. Guess the system thought that was too long.

Will installation of the demo require that I create another database? I wouldn't want to write over my existing database and 1.5.7 Joomla.

you dont have to but it is recommended , to ,have 2 installations in DB you MUST change table prefix on step 3 of installation fro jos_ to something else , otherwise your existing tables will be droped

Very well. I will install a new database to keep the other uncluttered. It will just be a backup, then.

Then I will update to 1.5.7 if necessary, then cut and paste from old to new.

I assume I need not enter a transaction ID, etc. when I initialize the template?

no , trans ID is not needed on template install , also version is 1.5.7 ,as cut and paste ,

if you already have an installation and want to override , make sure you remove configuration.php from existing one
