Parameter-File params.ini is unwritable 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi, everytime I want to change something to my template news line I get the following error:

The Parameter-File /templates/newsline/params.ini is Unwritable!

I aready went to the directory online and changed the file attribute to write and then it works. But everytime I go back to do another change I get the same error again and the write attributes are removed.

I would like to know what is happening here.
Thank you.

This is done by the Joomla 1.5 core, it's an added security measure to prevent params either accidently or intentionally over written.

or this , download prams.ini to your desktop

change values , they look like this , note if it is lower case than change to lower case
Code:
menuName=mainmenu
menuStyle=2
templateTools=1
pathway=1
defaultcolor=green
sitewidth=wide
fontsize=medium
seo=Joomla Software solutions Template
tags=Joomla Software, Joomla Templates, Youjoomla
activsifr=disable
sifrstyle=Copperplate
overide the existing file on the server

Thank you Neo. The problem is indeed solved. Superb.

Sorry. After clicking on apply the template changes again and gets unwritable.
The file gets rewritten and the old code is placed there. So the problem is not solved yet.
