Can't login through admin backend on local install 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Anyone,

I installed a demo of youjoomla's softech template on my local machine on top of xampp 1.66a. Install went smoothly, and am able to load the demo. I hope to use this to learn more about joomla, and template configuration etc. Problem is, when I try to login to the administrator area (http://localhost/administrator/), I can't do it. I enter my login info, and get bounced back to the login screen with a message saying I "need to login".

A search on the net shows that quite a few people have run up against this issue, but there doesn't seem to be any specific remedy that I could find. I looked into the various suggestions I saw, but still haven't found a way around this.

Has anyone any brilliant ideas about fixing this?
