I am back from the CFK editor forum.

Here is what their solution is:

---------------

As standard practice the editor look for a CSS file called “template.css” in the CSS folder in the template folder. If your template uses a differently file name for your CSS file or file is located in a different folder you would have received the following error: -

The solution:

*** Version 1.5 ***
Go to the backend and Login in with your ‘Username’ and ‘Password’. Go to 'Extensions' and click on ‘Plugin Manager’ > and select and open the 'JoomlaFCK' Plug-in.

In the editor you will see a set of Parameters on the right:

• Set the “Use Template CSS classes?” to NO
• In “Use Custom CSS Classes?” field place the pathway to the CSS file you want to use with the editor and press Save.

To apply the setting and close click on 'Save'.

-----------------------------

I found a template_css.css file and a layout.css file and a red.css file etc. Nothing told me which one to pick. Each file tried cam back with the same message that the CSS is valid and that it was going to use the FCK editors default CSS.

Does this mean that the published articles will look diffferent or does it mean that it won't be wysiwyg. I dont even know why I care other than that there is an error message. Whho do I go to to fix this? Does FCK not work with newsline. Does any of this matter. I know I do not want to edit articles with Tiny MCE. I want to use Word or Wordperfect and then have them format properly in the editor. Tiny MCE does not do that well at all. I got an error installing JCE.

I spent forty years as a backend large system computer guy and solving an open source problem is ten times more difficult than on a large system that has defined rules of engagement. My friends who came to Joomla before me said don't pay for a template. Maybe they were right?

Thank's for finding a solution to the problem. The css file doesn't matter it just gives the style to the way the editor will look in the template thats all.

This is how I have my editor set, This will get rid of the error message. And the editor will function as intended.
