Impact Magazine

I used several modules including the accordion tabs, feature plans and horizontal login.

Only thing is site seems a little slow on my end. Any advice?

Thanks for sharing, looking very nice i must say! Going by the general flow of the site, the only thing that i would try to change is to get the frontpage a little bit more compact. But that is just me, i like sites where you can see what is what in a split second, as you have in the inside pages of the sites.

About speed, loading pretty good here, apart from the very first load which is always the same reason, namely connecting to the database on your shared host (right?). You can't do much about that apart from being very critical about hosting and keeping the server alive.

One thing you might want to look at is compression: Site Performance - Joomla! Extensions Directory. I am a big fan of jbetelo, but the higher ranked extensions all are pretty good. They do need some fine tuning, so it is not just a matter of install and bingo, usually you will need to exclude some files.
