[SOLVED] Strange css color override

Hi!

Im working on a new template and there is one problem involving Youjoomladate extension (and only this extension, as far as I can see). The date itself is displayed correctly, but somehow it influences surrounding elements.

If youjoomladate is enabled, the article does not use the background color from .contentpaneopen css element (as supposed to), but black background, which happens to be the background color of the date component itself. After some testing, Ive found out that this background color comes from the body css element (which also happens to be black).

Now, if I disable youjoomladate, the article takes the background color from .contentpaneopen css element, as expected.

What am I missing?

Its not public yet (an unfinished site), but Im going to upload it one of these days.

In the meantime, here are two screenshots that illustrate the problem - notice the background color and border surrounding the article. If Youjoomladate is enabled, theyre gone - I get just black background:

youjoomladate is enabled: http://www.maxivida.de/tmp/with.jpg

that should not happened unless your css is invalid, I cant help you until I see the site and complete css , now where is bg and border defined , what class , contentpaneopen or did you add additional class?

no it is not your css , I fund the problem , yj_date makes its own news item layout in order to have date appear on the side, just adjusting to fit what you need , will advise

ok the files are updated please get the new download,

now your template_css.css probably have something like this

Code:

.contentpaneopen{
border:1px solid #1E1E1E;
background:#111111;
}
now replace it with this

Code:

.yj_contentpaneopen{
border:1px solid #1E1E1E;
background:#111111;
}
so your css looks like this

Code:

.contentpaneopen{

}
.yj_contentpaneopen{
border:1px solid #1E1E1E;
background:#111111;
}

Now you can do more styling than standard Joomla since you have an empty .contentpaneopen class.
You can place this class \yj_contentpaneopen\ in your template_css.css and control it from there
