If users are not allowed to register, how do you get rid of register and password links?

I'm in a very small shop. Currently, it's a requirement that accounts of all kinds are absolutely controlled. This may be changed once management is more comfortable with the concept of automating registration and password changes.

modules/mod_yj_pop_login/tmpl/default.php

to
templates/yourtemplate/html/mod_yj_pop_login folder

you need to create mod_yj_pop_login folder fist ,

after that edit the file you moved to your preference removing the links you dont need
