I dont think you followed the tutorial. there is no adding in forum.css . you are adding code to 3 files only
message.php
userinfos.php
summary.php

no css files need to be edited

I did it this way because by adding the code to the 3 files I never get it to function I put them but I never see how to assign the group to a user it appears bye default in al my registered users and the image appears with an x and I want it for separating mi publisher in different groups.

What i am doing wrong? also I want to know if by doing this I can get that the forum post dont get bigger and make my template bigger because I have to have visible the right and left part of the page always

thank you very much

you dont need to see how to assign the group , it goes by joomla user groups, one image for admins one for mods one for reg user and so on, this is why I added the group_id db image so you know what user group to assign. the main thing that is changing the images is $ugid == 25 . only by css it will not work. $ugid is discovering what level the user belongs to and the additional php code is assigning the images . the #25 for example is admin #18 is registered user. the x means that the image path is not right. rightclick on the path and see where it is pointing to.if you look here and righclick on the member image you will see path to the image like

http://www.youjoomla.com/components/...oups/guest.gif

you path to your image is pointing to the image that is not there. you probably forgot to change image names or to upload the images. take 15 minutes and go by tutorial line by line. read every word and first make your images and upload them than do the code part
