AAARRRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!

(that feels better - I am having a REALLY bad day today)

Can anyone shed some light on the fact that when I try to download a PHP file from my FTP the PHP file is empty?

When I view it on the FTP server it is 11kb (for example) but when I download it to my computer it is 0kb.

This is happening to ALL the PHP docs I try to download.

HELP ME PLEASE!

What FTP client are you using? Some work better than others, they arent all the same.

You should use a stand alone FTP Client. I use smart FTP wise is another good one. And a free one that I use is ALFTP http://www.altools.com/ALTools/ALFTP.aspx

I realize this is an older post, but I want to provide additional information.

If you want the best, do what Neo suggested and go to ipswitch.com and try WS_FTP Pro. It has served me well since at least 1999.

Like free or open source (or you're just cheap)? Try FileZilla by visiting filezilla-project.org.

Sure there are many other FTP applications out there, but I invested in the best before open source was big. I run both simultaneously today because of complimenting feature sets. Neither is perfect, but together they rock!

I have since changed to using FileZilla and I LOVE it.
And yes, I am cheap.
