How can I add more tabs?
I need more than 5 tabs.

My site: http://xNorthCarolina.com
Its on right side titled \Coupons/Rebates\.

I modified following files adding tab6, tab7 and tab8

templates/newsline2/templateDetails.xml

modules/mod_mods_carousel/mod_mods_carousel.css
modules/mod_mods_carousel/mod_mods_carousel.js
modules/mod_mods_carousel/mod_mods_carousel.php
modules/mod_mods_carousel/mod_mods_carousel.xml

modules/mod_tabs_carousel/mod_tabs_carousel.css
modules/mod_tabs_carousel/mod_tabs_carousel.js
modules/mod_tabs_carousel/mod_tabs_carousel.php
modules/mod_tabs_carousel/mod_tabs_carousel.xml

I was able to add 3 more tabs, but, not working properly.
Problem #1:It shows tab1 content when I click on tab6, tab7 or tab8.
Problem #2:When I put content on any of tab6, tab7 or tab8, it appear
on top of tab1 content as you can see below.
[img size=150]http://xnorthcarolina.com/images/tab-error.jpg[/img]

So, what did I miss?
Can someone show me what I have to do?

Thanks

your xml calls same module name for different tabs, if
you edited the php file you need to add new tab with new
name and new mod position
name plus new param example we are adding 6th tab

Code:

<div class=\tab-scroll\ id=\tabin6\
style=\height:<?php echo $modheight?>;\>
<div class=\user\><?php echo mosLoadModules ( $tab6modpos , -1 )?>
</div></div>

and this

[*]<a id=\link6\ href=\#\ name=\link6\><span>
<?php echo $title6?></span></a>

do not forget to add 1 more param on the top of the file

$title6 = $params->get(title6,);
$tab6modpos = $params->get(tab6modpos,);

in css you add

Code:

#tabin6 {
left:83.1%;
width:100%;
top: 0px;
}

note since you added 1 more tab you need to
divide 100% by 6 it will be 16.6%

than you start to change left side
positions for previous tabs in css

tab1 0
tab2 16.6%
tab3 33.3%
tab4 49.9%
tab5 66.5%
tab6 83.1%

once done

change js

add code

Code:

$(link6).addEvent(click, function(event) {
	event = new Event(event).stop();
	scroll.toElement(tabin6);
    global_count=6;
});

and last change xml

add

Code:

  <param name=\title6\ type=\text\ default=\\
size=\20\ label=\Tab 6 Title\ description=\Tab 6 Title\/>
 <param name=\tab6modpos\ type=\text\ default=\\
size=\20\ label=\Tab 6 Module\ description=\Tab 6
Module Example:user1\/>

Wow!
Very detailed instruction.
Thank you.

Seems like I missed one thing.
Setting that % thing on .css files.

But, its not so easy as it seems.
dividing by 8 since I have 8 tabs do not work good.

I will figure it out soon or later.
If I cant, Ill bug you once again

Again, Thanks neo

Problem solved.

Actually, 8/100 did not work since its two rows of tabs.
I had to do 7/200 and it works like charm

Thank you, Neo

Actually...
There is no way I could of solved the mystery without
you letting me know about dividing % of width.

Thanks again.

When you have time...
