[SOLVED] NewsLine Questions (Pre-Purchase)
 

Weve been planning and working on moving our site to Joomlart Teline, however we came across NewsLine today and have a few questions:

1. What module is being used for Top Headlines in the demo template?
2. What module is being used for the Popular News in the demo template?
3. Do either one or both of the modules pull content from chosen sections or categories?
4. Can an admin limit the number of articles to be shown in the modules?
5. How are images and thumbnails processed? Do the modules auto resize images for thumbnails? Is it mosimage or can a WYSIWYG editor be used?
6. Is the intro text amount selectable by the admin (text prior to \"read more?\"
7. Is the story rotation animation automatic or do users have to click the control buttons to move from story to story?
8. Are there animation options for going from story to story in the modules (slide, fade, whatever)?
9. Can modules be placed in the tabs of News Tabs.

Sorry for all the questions, but Id hate to do all the work to move to Teline (which has a number of limitations) before thoroughly researching another template option. Thanks!

both have huge list of params including resizing of images , controling number of intro text, controling number of links, colors of all links and so on

frontntpage slider has fade,scroll,scrollfade options, you can use either mosimage and your own ,

News Tab has onclik and onmousover option
story rotation is controlled by the ordering, no modules can be placed in Tabs Module nut this is why the template has 2 sliding shelfs

and last , template comes with demo installation for joomla 1.5 and 1.0 and modules for both versions

Totally AWESOME!!

Is the module for Popular News what you referred to as Latest News, or something else? Is there anyway to get screenshots of the backend settings for the modules in question?

Popular News and Watch Video are the sliding shelfs I was referring to. You can place 5 modules in each of them and they adjust the height automatically according to the highest module

The top 2 modules are My Frontpage slider and News Tabs

every single word! :) it is replica from our demo site, and installation is like standard joomla, it will take you 2 min to have it up

Great, I just purchased and downloaded the template. Does the package include all the updated modules with bug fixes, etc...?

Anyone as yet got a site up and running with this template I can look at? Interested to see a live site to see how it has adapted!
