Problem with Menu Images in Top Menu V1.0.4 released
I am trying to do something similar to this in the top menu:
Joomla! • View topic - Using images instead of text for menu options However, I don't see a method for doing this in YouGrids. Is this at all possible? Cheers, Chris |
adding an image to the menu ? did you try ?

I tried several different things and could not get it to work. I want an image in my Nav Bar Menu (i use Main Menu) for the HOME selection. I have gone into the menu item and assigned it a picture to use. However, there is no module that exists for me to turn on the picture for the Nav Bar. I tried to enable the Main Menu module and put it in the "topmenu" position with images enabled but that did not work, either. I then tried to use a different Menu Module that was made from scratch. When I put the menu modules as a list on the main page it all works fine - images show up when they are enabled. I just can't get it to work on the Top Menu that is built into the theme. Is there any way to get into that without hacking through code?

Any help here?!

It looks like I will not be able to use your theme since there has been no support on this in nearly a week.
Thanks anyway. |

@ csalvato I looked into this briefly since Neo is not available for a few more days. It appears there is no support for images in menu items, at least in the version of the template I have. I did test this in the same installation using the JA_Purity template, and it worked as expected.

Thank you. I have already moved on to the Nexus theme by RocketTheme since it is more full featured nd their pricing structure isn't as bonkers as YouJoomla's. My first pick at a theme was YouStudio but I couldnt get past the crazy way things are priced out on this site and after my experience with YouGrids and menu images, I am not on board with this level of support...
Sorry, not trying to be harsh, but I wanted to be clear as to why I did not choose to go with YouStudio (or YouJoomla at all) so that way you can improve in the future. Cheers. |
Hi - Thank you for the feedback. All support team members and admins read these posts, so we can all benefit from it. I will send you a PM with my email address, and I would like to communicate with you to better understand your specific issues. Thank you. :)
