Transparency of background

Hello
I'm using the yj pop login in the Campus template. Id like the transparency of the background to be less so that it is mor legible over the photo. I've been looking but can't figure out how I can change the transparency/opacity. Can you help me out?
Thanks,
Larry

Hello Larry_Lou.
You can add this into your custom.css file:
.cpoplogin #login_pop{
opacity:0.5;
}
Change the opacity to your use.

I tried that, but the opacity is being overridden from somewhere (see screenshot). That is what I haven't been able to figure out.

You are using bootstrap and bootstrap file is cashed, that is why you can't see the change.
Please go to your template administration and click on clear cash and save so it can clear the old file and generate the new one with your change.

No joy. It still isn't working. I
-cleared the cache and saved,
- turned bootstrap off, cleared cache and saved
- turned bootstrap back on, cleared cache and saved
In all cases Firebug is still showing the opacity override crossed out.
Other ideas?
Thanks,
Larry

As you can see you added this :
.yj_searchpos, .yj_loginpos {
display: none;
float: right;
overflow: hidden;
background: #fff;
filter: alpha(opacity=60);
-moz-opacity: 0.6;
opacity: 0.6;
}
Here is the opacity set to 0.6 and here:
.cpoplogin #login_pop {
opacity: 0.8;
}
your opacity is set to 0.8, the first one is taking over.
You can use !important on the second declaration.

It still isn't happening. The opacity of the pop-up box is tied to:
.yj_searchpos, .yj_loginpos {
display: none;
float: right;
overflow: hidden;
background: #fff;
filter: alpha(opacity=90);
/* IE */
-moz-opacity: 0.9;
/* Mozilla */
opacity: 0.9;
}
If I change the opacity there, the opacity also changes for the pop-up. But I can't seem to get the opacity of the pop-up to change independent of the log-in button. I guess I'll have to live with that ... unless you have any other ideas.
Thanks for the help,
Larry

To change the opacity of the popup block use this class and use !important:
.cpoplogin #login_pop{
opacity:0.5!important;
}
To change the button inside the header use this class:
.cpoplogin #openLogin,
.cpoplogin #logins,
.cpoplogin #logins form {
opacity: 0.5;
}
but first remove the css you added for this:

If you want to add the background and opacity to the search block use this class:
.yj_searchpos{
}
