I'd like to put stuff on the right sidebar (see link below)

specifically widgets but I assume it'd be the same procedure for anything else.

Moved to Joomla Help
Make Custom Module for your widget code in left module position then make sure module is set to show on mlb menu link

OK, thank you I did that part.

Now, my widget is a height of 337 and a width of 300.
My site is 980px wide and I noticed the left module position is width = 20%
This means 196px and my widget is 300 wide.

What do you suggest?
How can I change the width of my site?

What about putting a <div align="center"> tag around it so at least it is centered?</div>
