I was looking at all the demo version numbers for the joomla templates and very few of them have been updated past their initial v1.0. some have been updated to v1.0.1, but most have not been.
I kind of understand your download system and what goes on in the background, so I am confident you did update the files, but I have no proof to be able to verify. Everytime I select the Download Button, all the files have been timestamped for the date I downloaded the archive file. That confuses the hell out of me since I can't immediately tell which file was edited in the archive and when. It seems to me you have some sort of script running in the background that packages up all the files the moment I press the download button. Kind of a cool system, unless you're a designer and you can't tell what file was edited and when. Leaving me to believe nothing was updated. Either please update all the versions in the download center for all the templates that were updated with the new security fix, or at least make an adjustment with the timestamps in the archive to reflect the last time they were edited rather than the date I downloaded them. thanks for your help. |

Well, i don't think a new template version is needed in case all downloads for a certain template are updated to a new joomla version, those are usually not related. In case you have made modifications to the joomla core files it's best to have a look at the joomla changelog.
However i do see the general line of thought about version numbers and timestamps for templates and will pass this suggestion on to the man in charge of the downloads.

OK that makes sense now. If you didn't make edits to the template files.
Please do pass my concern about timestamps on. It's very important for designers to know what has been edited, or in this case what hasn't. |

Time stamps on files are not possible due to packing script.
Template files are always 1.0 and change only if major update was done , example YouStorage Template we added mega menu in , all other updates , change logs ect should be followed in template forum or YJSG forum. I will see to have dates switched back on in download area for submitions but , be assured that we are crazy about downloads , check out the blog on and off Blog |
